Kevin:
I haven’t shot any matches (yet – F class just became
available to me), but I have done a lot of long range
varmint shooting.

Pictures of the rifle with all technical
data are at:
http://www.the-long-family.com/6_5-284.htm
Here is a link to a set of pages showing the rifle in action
on the South Dakota prairie, with a picture of my hit on a
prairie dog at 1362 yards:
I am in the process of installing a new Pac-Nor Stainless
Super Match 3 groove, 6.5mm, 30”, 8.5 twist barrel in heavy
varmint contour, again chambered in 6.5-284. The current
Pac-Nor 9 twist that I am taking off has some life left in
it, and will be set back and chambered for that rifle in 260
Ackley. I plan to use the rifle as a switch barrel rifle
this coming trip to South Dakota in June. I am expecting
that the 260AI will perform nearly the same as the 6.5-284,
but with a bit less powder. If it does (using the take-off
barrel is very low cost experiment) then the next barrel
will be in 260 AI.
So, not a match shooter, but if you want some of these
pictures in a larger format, or any other information, just
let me know.
Great product!
Cheers,
CDL
